
NFXF Advocacy Day 2026

About the Advocacy Day Scholarship Award
We are excited to extend scholarship support for advocates. Scholarships are made available by the NFXF to support individuals participating in an NFXF Advocacy Day in Washington, D.C.
Priority will be given to:
- First-time attendee.
- States and congressional districts without a registered advocate.
- Self-advocates.
- Self-advocate siblings.
- Individuals who otherwise might not be able to attend due to limited financial resources.
Scholarship award includes:
- One-night hotel (standard room and taxes) at the Royal Sonesta Washington, D.C., Dupont Circle, the NFXF-contracted hotel. (Maximum of one night per family or household).
- Eligible to request a $350 travel grant after attending the event. (Up to two travel grants per family or household).
We recommend reaching out to your local ARC, service coordinators, regional centers, or support services in your area to ask if there are funding options available.
Providing scholarships for advocates is a crucial element of the NFXF's strategic goals. We appreciate the additional support from our NFXF Chapters, Community Partners, and private donors, which allows us to extend the maximum number of scholarships.

Terms and Conditions
- Applications are accepted through December 18, 2025.
- Scholarship awardees will be notified by December 23, 2025.
- Register to attend.
- Reserve and stay at the Royal Sonesta Washington, D.C., Dupont Circle.
- Complete the self-paced online training.
- Attend the in-person training and meetings on February 23-24, 2026.
