How is autism spectrum disorder treated?

Early intervention (EI) services are important for children who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). EI services are provided from birth to 3-years-old and include therapy to help the child interact with others. A parent suspecting autism or other developmental delays should work with their child’s doctor.
